The Home Energy Makeover Contest is a chance for four Oregon homeowners to transform their energy hog homes into lean, mean, money-saving machines.
More than 6,000 homeowners entered the contest, which closed on May 5. After interviewing 40 semi-finalists and evaluating the homes of 20 finalists, we chose four winners on June 15, 2009. Each winner will receive energy-saving home improvements valued at up to $25,000.
Over the summer, we’ll share the winners’ makeover stories and show you how to start a makeover of your own. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR is a great way to get started. To learn more, watch a video on Energy Trust’s Web site.
